Services
Personalized Nutrition Therapy
Individual Nutrition Counseling
Stephanie will meet 1:1 with clients for a 60-minute initial assessment in order to determine each client’s individual needs. After the initial assessment, follow up appointments are 45 minutes and focus on nutrition education, decreasing eating disorder behaviors, meal planning, exercise, body image, and short term and long-term goal setting. Clients are encouraged to meet with Stephanie weekly when getting started in order to build rapport and see progress in recovery.
Family Nutrition Counseling
Stephanie offers 45-minute family sessions with clients who are seeing Stephanie individually. Family sessions can be helpful, especially for adolescents living at home. Family sessions focus on how family members can help support their family member with their recovery.
Philosophy
Stephanie's Approach
Stephanie practices from a weight inclusive, Health at Every Size® (HAES) approach, which means that she does not believe that weight is the primary indicator of health. She also advocates for the prevention of medical discrimination against individuals in larger bodies and believes in a standard of care regardless of body size. She is passionate about helping clients heal their relationship with food, movement, and their bodies by providing guidance on how to connect with their body and incorporate mindful eating into their everyday life. This journey toward intuitive eating begins with listening to and understanding each client’s individual needs, and includes, among other things, developing flexible meal plans, assisting with grocery store planning, and guiding food exposures.
